Whether we’re building modern clean line designs or traditional mortise and tenon solid wood cabinetry, every piece has different details. This in-depth section looks at many elements of the design, construction and individual parts that make up all the cabinetry we build. Solid wood through-out has always been a hallmark of our work. Whether new, FSC certified, or reclaimed woods, we use them all. For beautiful veneer work and marquetry, we use other solid substrates, such as veneer core ply and Baltic birch.
Of the seven common forms of cabinetry construction, we generally work in the following five forms:
1/ Face Frame - English 4/ Euro style - Contemporary
2/ Post - French 5/ Oriental - Complex.
3/ Box Construction - 20th Century
