On-site Armoire Glazing

Before:
Country armoire was the wrong colour for the living room. The client tried to use a glaze to change the colour. But the glaze was old and dried white (see the panels).
She asked us to come to the lake to see if we could fix it on-site.
After:
After cleaning the surface, adding some distress to soften it’s hard edges, we applied by hand a mixture of Burnt Umber, Van Dyke Brown and other oil glazes.
The final finish was paste wax, applied by the client a week later, after the glazes had dried.
Now the cabinet fits in well with the rest of the wood tones in the Living Room
